Cleaning the kitchen will always be one of the most attention-hoarding tasks there is. Having a squeaky-clean kitchen is almost impossible unless you put in a lot of time and effort. But what if there were real-life hacks to clean up faster and more efficiently?

Need help with cleaning your kitchen? Then you’ve come to the right place. Let’s start easy with:

Cleaning The Oven Overnight

If you have an oven and you’re a fan of using it, then your oven is bound to get crusty. Ovens are one of the more difficult items in your kitchen to clean, simply because of all the crevices. As well as the fact that you REALLY need to get down and dirty with it.

But here’s the trick, firstly: fill up a spray bottle with a homemade cleaning solution. All you need are ⅓ cup of water, a ⅓ cup of vinegar, then ½ cup of baking soda.

Once you’re done using your oven for the day, wait for it to cool down. When it’s all nice and cool, give the insides of your oven a couple of sprits of your cleaning solution. You can then close the oven and go to bed.

Wait for at least 12 hours after you sprayed the oven. Once it’s been 12 hours, you can then clean the insides with soapy water. The gunk is a lot easier to wipe off thanks to the solution we gave you.

Just make sure that you wipe it dry with a plush cloth at the end to avoid moisture build-up.

Cleaning With Lemon

Lemon is a godsend when it comes to the kitchen. Not only does it taste amazing on food, but it also helps make for an outstanding cleaning solution. Another sure thing to consider is that the lemony aroma is going to be a bonus that everyone will appreciate.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Spray Bottle
  • Lemons
  • Water

Squeeze about 3 tbs worth of lemon juice into your spray bottle, then fill it neatly with water. Now all you need to do is spray it onto surfaces, then let it set for a bit. Once the solution has penetrated the grime, wiping them down should be a lot easier to deal with.

This solution is amazing to use on countertops, tables, and even the inside of your microwave!

What else can you do with lemon juice?

If you’re having issues with your garbage disposal being all nasty and smelly, then this just might help you. Lemon juice has been established as an all-around surface cleaner in the kitchen. But how can you utilize its cleansing capabilities if you can’t reach down and clean the disposal yourself?

Well, the answer to that is lemon ice cubes. You can simply just put lemon juice and water into an ice tray and get on with it. But a better and slightly more effective way is to put lemon wedges into each crevice of your ice tray.

You’re also going to want to put a couple of tablespoons worth of rock salt over the entire tray. The salt will act as an abrasive and help scrub down the garbage disposal’s blades. Once your salt lemon cubes are solidified, just throw them into the disposal and let them do their magic.

It’s best that you let your garbage disposal run until all of the ice has been shaved through. This helps you get the best results out of each cleansing session. Any grime and gunk stuck on the blades and the surface of the pipes should mostly be gone afterward.

There are many other natural solutions and mixtures for you to use in the kitchen. But these were the most effective solutions that uses ingredients that could be found in most kitchens. So, what’s stopping you? Try cleaning your kitchen with these solutions now!
